If last year's elections for the Wrestling Federation of India's executive council was all about proxy candidates whose main claim to fame was absolute loyalty to the WFI's former president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the upcoming Lok Sabha elections for the Kaiserganj seat in Uttar Pradesh follows an identical template.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is fielding Karan Bhushan Singh, son of the sitting MP Brij Bhushan. It is worth noting that Karan was last year anointed by his father as his replacement for presidentship of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association.
