MUMBAI: Indian mobile games publisher Nazara Technologies has acquired a majority stake in Chennai-based Nextwave Multimedia, a firm popular for its mobile cricket games.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The casual and multiplayer-focused games studio is best known for its mobile game World Cricket Championship (WCC).

BENGALURU: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, at a meeting held on Wednesday evening, granted the licence to the Bangalore Turf Club to conduct on-course and off-course betting activities with immediate effect, The Hindu reports.
The club will conduct off-course betting on Mysore’s Friday races and on the first day of the Bangalore winter races on Saturday.

MUMBAI: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will make his debut in the world of digital gaming with the launch of his official game Sachin Saga on 7 December.
The game has been developed by PlayIzzOn Technologies, the gaming arm of JetSynthesys, at its studios in Pune and the US. The partnership has been initiated in association with Fluence, a celebrity digital network in India.
