MUMBAI: India’s home season media rights holder Star India is seeking a Rs 130 crore discount on its existing deal, the current cycle for which ends in March. While Team India jersey sponsor BYJU's, which wants an immediate out from its sponsorship agreement, has reportedly told the the BCCI to encash its bank guarantee worth an estimated Rs 140 crore.

The BCCI top brass deliberated on these two matters at the emergent meeting of the Indian cricket board's apex council on Monday, PTI reports. It was a virtual meeting.

NEW DELHI: The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League will be held from April 7 to May 27, with the tournament opener and final to be played in Mumbai, the IPL governing council announced Monday. Accepting new broadcast partner Star India's request, the IPL GC has also allowed a shift in timings of the matches. The 8 pm game will now begin at 7 pm while the 4 pm start has now been pushed to 5.30pm.
