
The Indian Super League (ISL) has announced Pokemon as the official sponsor for the tournament final set to take place on April 12.
Pokemon is a Japanese media franchise founded in 1996 and is widely considered to be the highest-grossing media franchise of all time. The Pokemon Company is jointly owned by Nintendo, Creatures and Game Freak, which produces video games, animated series and films.
The playoffs stage of the ISL will begin on March 29 with Mohun Bagan Super Giant, FC Goa, Bengaluru FC, NorthEast United FC, Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC all confirming their spots in the last six.
Bengaluru FC will take on Mumbai City FC, while NorthEast United will face Jamshedpur FC in single-leg knock-out ties. The winners of these matches will go on to meet Mohun Bagan and FC Goa in two-legged semifinals starting April 2.
