MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League is to revert to its original 8pm match start time from the 2023 season, And the Board of Control for Cricket in India has reportedly informed potential bidders at the upcoming IPL media rights auction of its decision.

Now this is one diktat of the BCCI  that SportzPower is fully on board with.

The BCCI has also said it would try not to have too many double headers but its choice for the start of an afternoon game is 4 pm. At present, the evening matches start at 7.30 pm and the afternoon games at 3.30 pm.

MUMBAI: Talk about leaving it till the very end. Literally on the last day as it were, Google parent Alphabet reportedly purchased the Invitation To Tender (ITT) document for the media rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL).  The ITT was available for purchase till May 10. Google owns streaming and video platform YouTube and joins a handful of parties that have reportedly picked up the IPL ITT.

NEW DELHI: The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has notified sporting events of national importance under the Sports Broadcasting Signals (Mandatory Sharing with Prasar Bharati) Act. The notification supersedes the earlier one issued in March 2021, The Hindu reports.
