NEW DELHI: Special Olympics Bharat has appointed former ONGC executive director V.K. Mahendru as its executive director.
In his new role, Mahendru will oversee all aspects of the organisation and management, while also serving as a mentor.

TOKYO: Six years since Tokyo was awarded the Olympic Games, the first tickets for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics went on sale on Thursday, with Japanese residents able to enter a lottery to watch the sport of their choice.
The lottery for the initial offering of Olympic Games tickets for sale to residents of Japan runs until 23:59 (JST) on 28 May. The results of the lottery will be announced on 20 June.

NEW DELHI: After the Union government's grand ignore to a missive sent by the International Olympic Committee nearly two months ago, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has interceded on IOC's behalf and issued a fresh letter.
IOA president Narinder Batra has written to Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, urging him to address the issue at the earliest.
