BHUBANESWAR: After successfully hosting the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup, the temple city of Bhubaneswar will stage the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021.

The much-awaited announcement was made in Bhubaneswar on Thursday by the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, in the presence of Minister for Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha, Tusharkanti Behera, FIH president Narinder Batra and Hockey India secretary general Rajinder Singh.

NEW DELHI: Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra has opened a sports medicine and research institute in Odisha's state capital Bhubaneswar. The Abhinav Bindra Sports Medicine and Research Institute (ABSMARI) will offer four-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy and two-year Masters of Physiotherapy courses, with different specialisations, reports The Hindu.

LAUSANNE: The International Hockey Federation (FIH) Monday confirmed the venues and match timings of the second edition of the 2020 Hockey Pro League, which will be played between 11 January and 28 June 2020.
