The All Indian Football Federation announced the Premier 1 club licensing results for the 2024-25 season on Thursday. 

Punjab FC is the only club to have received a direct license.

Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 champion Mohun Bagan Super Giant and ISL Cup champion Mumbai City FC received the license with sanctions. Joining them in this category is Kolkata giant East Bengal, FC Goa, Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, NorthEast United FC and Mohammedan Sporting, which was promoted to the ISL after it won the I-League this season.

PANAJI: FC Goa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three clubs from the north-east. FC Goa will have a partnership with Mawkhar Sports Club, Mawlai Sports Club and Royal Wahingdoh Sports Club, wherein the Goan club will offer technical expertise to the teams from the north-east and in return will have the option to sign players from these clubs for a fixed fee, says a PTI report.

BENGALURU: Ozone FC’s bid of gaining a direct entry into this season’s I-League ended on a disappointing note with the All India Football Federation (AIFF), on Wednesday, declining to entertain its bid. Reason: Ozone FC's promoters failed on the financial criteria, wherein a club has to provide a bank guarantee of Rs1 billion.

NEW DELHI: Kerala club Gokulam FC has been handed a direct entry into the I-league by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The AIFF bid evaluation committee met in the capital Wednesday to scrutinise the documents of Malappuram based Sree Gokulam Group and Bengaluru's Ozone FC.
