NEW DELHI: The Union Sports Ministry on Tuesday dedicated a total of 143 Khelo India Centres across seven states with a total budget estimate of Rs 143 million. These centres will be entrusted with one sports discipline each. The states include Maharashtra, Mizoram, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.

LONDON: The England and Wales Cricket Board has published its Annual Review and Financial Statements for 2020/21. In the review, the ECB has declared revenue losses amounting to more than £100m ($141m), compared to what had been expected to be received in 2020, after a year of matches played behind closed doors. The losses reported are from across the game as a whole – including ECB and First Class Counties.

Days after the BCCI was forced to indefinitely suspend the Indian Premier League, the "realisation" (seriously?) appears to have belatedly dawned within the board's corridors of power that taking the IPL bandwagon to the COVID "ground zero" cities of New Delhi and Ahmedabad was "ill-advised".
