Serving as the Official Partner for Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, Bira 91 is set to bring a "fresh and innovative approach to fan engagement" for India’s biggest annual sporting spectacle.

MUMBAI: Internet company Just Dial Limited on Sunday announced in a BSE filing that it has signed an agreement with broadcaster Star India for advertising as co-presenting sponsor during Indian Premier League (IPL) – 14. This years IPL, which will be played in India, will run from 9 April through to 30 May across six cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.

At a time when COVID cases in India are seeing an upswing, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is reportedly moving away from the current presumption that the Indian Premier League would be played out between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, and instead exploring the option of playing the IPL across four to five cities.

MUMBAI: Even as Mumbai and Ahmedabad have been shortlisted as host cities for this year's Indian Premier League, with India's financial capital likely to host group stage matches across four venues and the refurbished Sardar Patel stadium in Motera to host the play-offs, the rise in COVID-cases in the country must be a matter of concern, more so since the plan is top allow 50% attendance.

MUMBAI: BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has made official what the general public is expecting - that this year's Indian Premier League will more than likely allow fan entry.  While dates are yet to be officially announced for the IPL's 2021 edition, it is expected to be held between the months of April and May. The player auction will be held on Thursday.

MUMBAI: Indian Premier League franchise Kings XI Punjab will reportedly be rechristened as Punjab Kings ahead of the upcoming edition of the IPL.  As per a report in Cricbuzz, which first reported on the name change, a formal communication has been made to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in this regard and necessary approvals have been obtained.

MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League players auction will be held in Chennai on February 18. The news was confirmed on IPL's official Twitter handle on Wednesday.  The auction will be held a day after the scheduled second Test between India and England finishes in Chennai. The player retention deadline ended on January 20 and the trading window closes on February 4.
