MUMBAI: Match No. 32 of IPL 2022 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, which was shifted from MCA Stadium in Pune to Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai due to COVID-19 outbreak in the DC team, finally went ahead on schedule. 

The developments came even as a second overseas player of Delhi Capitals tested positive. This came just hours ahead of the team's game against Punjab Kings. 

New Zealand's Tim Seifert tested positive after a Rapid Antigen Test conducted on Wednesday afternoon, making it the sixth such case in the camp.

NEW DELLHI: In the wake of the spiralling coronavirus cases in the country, the Union Sports Ministry has issued an advisory to all sports organisations that bars "all sports organisations and their affiliate units" from holding any events till April 15. Additionally, all Sports Authority of India (SAI) facilities too will be shut for the duration.

LAUSANNE: Based on the latest developments of the COVID-19 outbreak and in particular of the response to it by the relevant public authorities globally, FIH, with the support of all participating national associations, has decided to extend the postponement period of the FIH Hockey Pro League to 17 May. Consequently, all matches currently scheduled until 17 May are on hold.

LONDON: The ATP has announced a six-week suspension of the men’s professional tennis tour due to escalating health and safety issues arising from the global outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The suspension means all ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour events scheduled up to and inclusive of the week of April 20 will not take place.
